ATTENTION – SCHEDULE CHANGE AND CLASSES ADDED AT THE 25TH TEAM HARESCRAMBLE CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD!!

All adult ATV classes will now compete on Sunday.  Father and son class added to the adult ATV program.  Mini ATV father and son class added to Saturday program.

The 25th Team Harescramble Championship of the World will take place Saturday and Sunday November 7th and 8th.  The mini quad class, the 50, 65, 85, and Supermini, classes, the Father and son mini class, and the father and son ATV mini class will all take place on Saturday with all motorcycle and adult ATV classes on Sunday.

Father and Son Mini Classes:

The mini father and son cycle class and the mini father and son ATV class were created at the parents’ request.  These classes will run separately.  Kids can compete on any size mini bike or mini ATV.  The parents can compete on any full size motorcycle or ATV as well.  The race will take place on the easiest course possible so all riders of any skill level can complete the course.  ALL competitors that race in these father and son classes must realize that this is a fun event and there will be adults on full size motorcycles and ATV’s on the track at the same time as their kids on mini bikes.  Therefore extreme caution and courtesy must be used at all times.  We have held the father and son mini cycle race for years with great success.  We expect the ATV race to be equally successful.

The Sunday morning motorcycle race will begin at 10:00 AM, the afternoon motorcycle race at 12:30 PM and the adult ATV race at 3:00 PM.  All Sunday races will compete for two hours each.  We will hold the ATV race on Sunday afternoon.   This will give us time to add a much requested father and son mini quad class Saturday afternoon. Click on the “Team Harescramble Championship of the World” link for classes, times and other information.

We will continue to host the Annual Cornhole Championship of the World on Saturday night along with a cookout.

The 25th Team Harescramble Championship of the World will take place November 7th & 8th, 2009 at our new race facility, The Action Sports Moto Park in Athens, Ohio. This is the location for all Action Sports outdoor events.

Known as the most fun on two wheels the Team Harescramble Championship of the World began in 1984 and has grown to be the largest event of its kind and one of Ohio’s largest harescramble events as 200 teams normally compete throughout the weekend.

Over the years participating riders have included former National Enduro Champions Jeff Russell and Terry Cunningham, GNCC Champions Scott Plessinger and Scott Summers, along with Rob Jenks, Charlie Mullins and many others. It is a favorite among the mini, amateur and ATV riders as well.

The course combines fun and easy open woods, grass track and motocross sections with no whoops or dangerous double jumps. It is designed to be fun for riders of all skill levels. It has great dirt, a great deal of elevation changes, but still no radical hills. It’s a fantastic place to watch and even more fun to ride. There is plenty of flat parking for RV’s and campers and overnight camping Saturday night is free.

Bring your tents and campers and join in the fun Saturday night for the 3rd Annual Corn Hole Championship of the World. We will also host a cookout after the completion of Saturday’s race program; I’ll supply the hot dogs. All riders and family members are welcome. Weekend admission is only $10.00.

If you need more information on the corn hole tournament, Google “Corn Hole Game” and read up on the rules…we’re going to follow them. Our boards will be 27 feet from the bottom of each board. We will have at least 3 courts; the Action Sports Court, the SCR Racing Court and The In Town Body Shop Court. The game is very fun and you do not have to know how to play to take part in the tournament. If you don’t know what the game is; it’s kind of like horse shoes only you use bean bags instead of horse shoes and a 6 inch hole instead of a steel stake. Good luck!!
